lil' boots and the regime change!
with the mission set and the regular duty day I'm about a day or two behind trying to keep current with the political stuff.
the presidents overly presumptive report to the Russian talking head, actually reminded me of Caligula caeser. there is an assumption that the will of the people are an annoying hindrance to his political agenda. bring on the bread and circuses for convenient distraction.
unfortunately for him...as Americans we are notoriously unforgiving in our voting for the sins of the past. foreign issues have killed the career of many an incumbent. Americans hate seeing their own dead in a foreign land for no real reason. like it or not we want a reckoning and the current Caesar has yet to even come clean about what the whole story is. in fact he may have been complicit in the muddying of the water trying to spin it on the back of a amateur film maker.
we want the truth Mr. president! why wont you stand up for the American people? what is it about us that makes you hate us? you missed your calling sir, you should be in Vegas with a smoke and mirror act like that. throw in a couple of tigers and a partner with "flair" and you have a winner. the greatest trick I've ever seen is making jobs disappear and then having people believe you're a job creator!
but i digress, the mis-handling of foreign policy is the number one issue on my mind while I'm overseas. while in Afghanistan i am obviously more invested in it than your average blow hole! during my turn at the gate for the f.o.b. presidential partnerships with the afghan people becomes very real to me. i am supposed to trust these jokers? i don't even want to turn my head from them and I'm supposed to trust them with my back?
i know its not fun...i know its boring, but a presidents handling of foreign policy translates into a body count! this president just wants to make sure that count is ours and not the enemies! let us kill the enemy or bring us home and ill kill a beer!
allienganger drinks in the glory of battle!
